Due to meetings, softball and general malaise, I have not updated this site in over a week. Sorry. Get over it. I will try to do better. Here are a few pics taken yesterday.

-Here is a bad pic of ERB from my phone.
-Smalz got a new haircut.
-Tigers pitchers can't throw strikes.
-Maybin went 2-11 during the weekend. Homer and single came off Clemens. I just hope he can help this team win some frickin' games.
-I want to go to Columbus to see The Arcade Fire. Who's with me?
-Phiul is going to see Van Halen.
-It is raining in GR today.
-Softball game tomorrow night.

BREAKING TIGERS NEWS: MAYBIN CALLED UP!!

-Just earlier this week, Leyland said that Cameron would not be a candidate for September call ups. However, with Thames banged up, and Monroe completly sucking, Maybin got the call. He has been tearing it up for the last 10 days in AA Erie going 8-for-20 (.400) with 4 home runs and 8 RBIs. He hit .304 in 83 games at A Lakeland.
-Appearantly Monroe is done as a Tiger. He was optioned for assignment. Which means that the Tigs have 10 days to trade or release him. Peace out Craig.
-Maybin is a bit of a local legend here in West Michigan, carrying the Whitecaps to a MWL Championship last season. The dude is only 20 years old!! I have a bit of a man crush on him.
-Maybin is one of the best prospects in all of beisbol. He has been compared to everyone from Willie Mays (combo of speed/power) to Ken Griffey Jr.
-They say that he will be in the lineup tonite with lefty Andy Pettite on the bump. I like!

Tigers are Champs!

Hopefully you all can read what that trophy says. It says my generically named softball team were Wednesday night champs! I have not won a trophy since pee-wee soccer. Brick played 1B all season and hit out of the 2 hole.
Here are Brick's stats:
Regular season: .451 BA - 11 RBI's - 15 Runs - 3 walks
Playoffs: .500 BA - 4 RBI's - 4 Runs
We are now gearing up for a run at the Tuesday night championship in the Fall session. Short off season.

4th of July (late)

We went to Grandville for the 4th of July. It was awesome.


As Brick said - great fireworks in Grandville. This was taken from the cemetery where we sat to enjoy the 'works. (Editor's note: Auntie Gina told me I originally spelled cemetery wrong (spelled c-e-m-e-t-A-r-y originally))

P.S. Tigers won game one against the Twins last night. And Jonesy held on for a 1,2,3 inning against those punks. Prediction - Tigers take 3 of 4.

The Week That Was...

-Been in the D all week for work/training/cake/bbq.

-Above and below are pix that Kate took at their bbq last Monday.

-Smalz, ERB and I went to the beach on Sunday with the all of the Everetts. They are renting a cottage on Lake Michigan. It was vury niiice!!!

-ERB did not like the lake so much. She screamed when we got her near the water. I did NOT scream as the lake was magnificent. Thanks Everett's for having us over!

-PS-Happy belated birfday to Linda!!

Fourth of July Highlights

-Phiul, GB, Smalz and myself took ERB to her first baseball game last Thursday night. The Caps won 6-1. The picture above is GB w/ERB at Fifth Third Park.
-Had ribs, corn, pie etc. on Wednesday. Delicious.
-Tigers swept the Red Sox over the weekend.
-Put in a new laundry room floor last weekend.
-Grandville puts on a heck of a fireworks show. ERB slept through it.
-Chauncey is still a Piston. Whew...

4th of July!!

Today, America is 231 years old. What better way to celebrate the birf of our nation than to eat plastic Starfish. Starfish should be our national fish. What is our national fish.? Have a nice holiday!
