2007 Christmas Mega Post

Here is Nanny and Pop pop in front of some knives/tomahawks at The Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn. We saw all kinds of cool stuff.

Including the first Mustang. It is a 65. Serial number 1. We saw other things like the chair Lincoln was shot in, the car Kennedy was shot. Seems like this is some kind of an assassination museum.

I have never seen a reaction quite like this one to a fella opening some undies. Sweet WMU shirt!
Linda opening a toaster oven. Hoo-ray!!!

All sorts of Bendernagels/Rankins/Hersbergers (sp) on Xmas day. No karoke this year. But a rousing game of UNO broke out. Auntie Gina won.

Pistons 114, Pacers 101

Mad love to Ray and Linda for providing tickets to the Pistons' rout of the Pacers last night. Me, GB, Brick, Grandma Linda and Grandpa Ray had a fun time in the top row of the Palace last night. I drank a lot of beer. Brick bought me a Sheed T-shirt.

Bonus - here's an ERB photo:

Xmas at the (elder) Myers'

As usual we enjoyed Xmas day in Plymouth. Next year it will be at the Rankin's house in Brighton. Can't wait.

Kathy and Brick drink.

A pregnant Kelly Hershberger and Kate looking lovely.

Ray relaxes after making some wicked beef and drinking (a lot).

Grandma Lynn and ERB enjoying themselves.

Today I recovered by watching Mr./Mrs. Myers, Auntie Gina and Grandma Linda shop. While we were out I ate a "Yeros" (sic) sandwich and wicked-good Greek salad at the Detroit-area-favorite, Kerby's Koney Island (Haggerty and 8-Mile location).

Ray stayed home and played with ERB:

Santa

Last Saturday, Smalz, ERB and Brix went to see santa. ERB does not like him. She yelled the entire time she was on his lap. However, this years santa is way better than last years.

We also saw this Yeti.

Look at this Line Up

By my count, the Tigers line up could possibly have 8, count em', 8 all stars! This does not include the pitching staff. Take a look at my breakdown:

CF-Granderson-Was hosed over for the gold glove last season. Went 20/20/20/20 for the 3rd time in history. He WILL be an all-star this year.
2B-Poloanco-Has not made an error since 2005. Was ALCS MVP in 06' and usually hits around .340. Was all star in 07.
DH-Sheffield-One of the scariest hitters in beisbol. He has been an all star several times, and if he would have been healthy last year, he would have been an all star and possibly an MVP candidate.
RF-Magglio-He was an all star last year and only hit .362 and won the batting crown. Also named Tiger of the year.
3B-Cabrerra-Only 24 years old. Been in the league for 4 years, and been an all star 4 times. He hit .340 last year w/35 HRs. This guy is next to A-Rod as one of the best hitters in the game. Holy shit!!
1B-Guillen-Dangerous switch hitter making the move to first this coming season. Been an all star 2 times. Usually hits around .320 with some nice power to go with. Hang on....theres more...
SS-Renteria-Picked him up for a bag of balls from Bravos. He has been an all star in the past and usually hits around .320 and is solid with the glove.
C-Pudge-I am glad that the Tigs decided to keep him. He is a perennial gold glover and an million time all star. Not that great at the plate anymore, but still has nice production.
RF-Jones/Thames-These guys are not all stars. But who cares. Look at the rest of this line up. Holy shit!!

-It is safe to say that Inge will most likely be traded soon for some prospects. I will miss him and his nasty glove at the hot corner, however, I will not miss his gazillion strike outs.
-Goodbye Maybin and Miller. We hardly knew you, but jeez, look at this line up. I am fine with the trade. Cabrerra and Willis are 24 and 25 respectfully. We gave up unproven young talent for proven young talent. Seems like a win-win.
-I count 8 all stars in this line up. With a line up like this, I am not scared of the Yanks, Sawx, Rockies, Cards, Mets, Twins, Nats, Chisox, Phillies, Braves, Rangers, Angels, M's, A's, Rays, Jays, Cubs, O's, Dodgers, Royals, Tribe, Astros, Giants, Marlins (w/Maybin n' Miller), Reds, Pirates or any other team else who thinks that they can play with us. Beisbol season can't start soon enough. Bye the way, Pistons are rolling right now. Stay tuned...
